Allegiant Air (G4, Las Vegas Harry Reid) has exercised options for six additional B737-8s for delivery in 2028, raising its firm orders with Boeing to 56 aircraft, its parent Allegiant Travel said in a US Securities and Exchange Commission filing.

The airline signed supplemental agreements on October 19, 2026, exercising its first options under the purchase agreement concluded in December 2021. Of the 56 firm aircraft, 22 had been delivered by October 23, 2026, leaving 34 outstanding and options for another 74.

Allegiant announced the original order for fifty B737 MAX aircraft in January 2022, comprising thirty B737-7s and twenty B737-8-200s at the time, ch-aviation previously reported. It took delivery of its first B737-8-200 in September 2024, after deliveries had originally been scheduled to begin in 2023.

A November 2024 amendment moved the final deliveries under the original order from the end of 2025 to the end of 2027. However, Allegiant's filing for the second quarter of 2026, which preceded the option exercise, already indicated that deliveries would run into 2028.

Per ch-aviation data, Allegiant operates a fleet of 127 aircraft, comprising twenty-seven A319-100s, seventy-eight A320-200s, and twenty-two B737-8-200s.
