Siam Seaplane (Bangkok Don Mueang) is launching medevac operations in partnership with Thailand's National Institute for Emergency Medicine (NIEM) in November 2026, using a 2014-built C208B Grand Caravan EX Cessna (single turboprop), HS-SSP (msn 208B-5076). The partnership will initially cover medical transport connecting Thailand's network of major airports and regional airfields, followed by international missions and seaplane operations in 2027, for which the company hopes to secure approval in the fourth quarter of 2026.

“Partnering with NIEM allows us to deploy our fleet where rapid access is needed most,” said Worakanya Siripidej, CEO of Siam Seaplane. “Connecting remote airfields directly to urban medical hubs transforms emergency care access for communities across rural Thailand.” Siam Seaplane emphasises the C208B Grand Caravan EX's wide cargo door and spacious, non-pressurised cabin as key advantages, allowing medical equipment to be accommodated while providing medical teams with ample freedom of movement.
