Desert Jet has begun construction of a 1.4-hectare apron extension at Palm Springs Jacqueline Cochran Regional in California, as part of a USD24 million expansion of its fixed-base operator (FBO) and maintenance facilities. The additional apron space is expected to enter service by the end of 2026, with two new hangars planned for construction in 2027.
Desert Jet Holdings sold its charter and aircraft management business to Advanced Air (AN, Hawthorne) in 2024, retaining Desert Jet Center and Desert Jet Maintenance. Its former FAA Part 135 certificate is now controlled by Flightpath Air, which operates charter aircraft under it.
