Mongolia is interested in introducing C919s as part of the renewal of its national carrier's fleet. Following talks with COMAC in Shanghai on September 24, 2026, transport minister Borkhuu Delgersaikhan said any introduction of the aircraft into the fleet of MIAT - Mongolian Airlines (OM, Ulaanbaatar) would depend on factors including airworthiness certification, safety, operational suitability. Previously this year, MIAT expressed interest in purchasing ten Airbus jets and acquiring additional Boeings, while also preparing for future network growth to the United States.
