British Airways (BA, London Heathrow) has signed an agreement with the States of Guernsey to launch flights from London Heathrow to Guernsey in April 2026, strengthening the island's connectivity after the collapse of Blue Islands. The route will be the first narrowbody jet service to Guernsey. Meanwhile, Loganair is "very positive" about the opportunity to serve the Guernsey-Jersey route on a long-term basis but said it would not "fight to break into the market". States of Guernsey will earmark the route as "essential" starting January 15, 2026, granting traffic rights only to a single designated airline.
