Ethiopian Airlines (ET, Addis Ababa International) has committed to ordering an additional eleven B737-8s from Boeing. The agreement was signed during the Dubai Airshow.
The Ethiopian carrier currently operates twenty-two B737-8s. The airline has a further thirty units of the type on a firm order from the manufacturer, placed via Ethiopian Aviation Holding Group, with commitments dating back to 2014, 2016, and 2023.
Its narrowbody passenger fleet also includes seven B737-800s. Ethiopian Airlines operates a primarily Boeing fleet, except twenty-one A350-900s and four A350-1000s, and thirty DHC-8-Q400s.
