Breeze Airways (MX, Salt Lake City) has been certified by the United States Federal Aviation Administration as a US flag carrier, which allows it to move forward to launch its international debut, with three international destinations already lined-up: Cancún, Punta Cana, and Montego Bay.
The company is set to begin services to these three international destinations in early 2026, connecting them from six airports in the United States, Charleston International, New Orleans International, Norfolk International, VA, Providence, Raleigh/Durham, and Tampa International.
In addition, the company will open a new crew base in Raleigh to support this expansion in the first quarter of 2026. It will be the 12th base across the company’s nationwide network and is expected to create more than 200 pilot and cabin crew jobs.
“Becoming a US flag carrier is a huge milestone for Breeze. We’re excited to bring the same convenience and elevated experience they love about our domestic flights to three exciting new international destinations,” said David Neeleman, founder and chief executive.
ch-aviation data shows Breeze Airways operates a fleet of 54 aircraft: forty-two A220-300s, ten E190s, and two E195s.
