Garuda Indonesia (GA, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) plans to issue up to 124.4 billion new Series E shares through a rights issue as part of its 2025-2029 restructuring plan. The exercise price is yet to be be announced, and shareholders will vote on the proposal on November 6, 2026. Danantara Asset Management, part of sovereign wealth fund Danantara Indonesia, plans to subscribe by contributing an 82.1 billion-share, 65.8% stake in MRO subsidiary GMF AeroAsia, which it is yet to receive from InJourney Airports, rather than cash. Public shareholders can exercise their rights in cash, with remaining proceeds earmarked for working capital. The transaction follows InJourney Airports' earlier land contribution to GMF AeroAsia, as ch-aviation previously reported.
