Nepal Airlines (RA, Kathmandu) returned its sole active A330-200, 9N-ALY (msn 1872), to service on September 23, 2026, operating Tokyo Narita-Kathmandu after it had been grounded in Japan from September 14. The aircraft had been held after damage was found on a fan blade in one of its Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines during a pre-flight inspection. After returning to Kathmandu, 9N-ALY operated a scheduled service to Dubai International later the same day. The carrier's other A330-200, 9N-ALZ (msn 1878), remains at Naples Capodichino for a delayed C-check.
