Discover Airlines (4Y, Frankfurt International) will launch weekly flights between Frankfurt International and Savonlinna from June 19 through August 29, 2027, introducing the Finnish airport's only scheduled international service.

According to ch-aviation data, the Lufthansa Group carrier will deploy its A320-200 aircraft on the route. It will also launch a separate service to Kajaani, operating from December 17, 2027 to March 24, 2028.

Savonlinna is currently served solely by Budapest Aircraft Services (RP, Budapest), which operates domestic E120 flights to Helsinki Vantaa under a public service obligation contract running through December 2028.
