ITA Airways (AZ, Rome Fiumicino) will join the Europe-Asia joint venture of Lufthansa Group and ANA Holdings in October 2026, marking another step in the integration of the Italian airline into the German parent holding. Besides ITA's European and African destinations, the JV will cover its Rome Fiumicino-Tokyo Haneda service. ANA - All Nippon Airways currently flies from Haneda to Milan Malpensa, a hub that is not served by ITA.
