SkyWest Airlines (OO, St. George Municipal) is planning to open a maintenance facility at Johnstown John Murtha Cambria County, PA, having recently secured an Essential Air Service (EAS) contract to serve the city. The station will initially accommodate two or three aircraft in an interim facility set to open in the second half of 2026, which would use existing FBO hangars. The capacity will increase to five bays once the permanent infrastructure is ready in 2027. Airport and city authorities hope that the MRO facility will also allow SkyWest to add more routes from the city.
