United States President Donald Trump has said that Venezuelan airspace should be considered "closed in its entirety" as Washington ramps up pressure on President Nicolás Maduro. The warning, made on the Truth Social platform, is not a legal measure and has not been followed up by any additional NOTAMs. An FAA notice from November 21, warning carriers of a "potentially hazardous situation" in Venezuelan airspace, remains in force. While most international carriers suspended flights to the country, Copa Airlines and its LCC subsidiary Wingo (Colombia) continue operations to Caracas Simón Bolivar.
