The government of Côte d'Ivoire has formally approved the winter flight schedules of Air France and Corsair on the Paris-Abidjan route, ending weeks of political tussling. Final approval reportedly came after personal intervention from French President Emmanuel Macron. The government of Côte d'Ivoire had previously withheld approval, arguing that Air Côte d'Ivoire faces unfair competition on the route due to the larger number of flights operated by its French rivals. Despite the lack of permanent approval, both French carriers have continued their Abidjan flights.
