Abra Group, the holding company that owns avianca airlines, GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes, Wamos Air, and NG Servicios Aéreos, is looking to invest up to USD70 million to obtain a stake of up to 98% in SKY Airline (Chile). Abra said it had reached an agreement with SKY’s management for the low-cost carrier to join the group, maintaining its brand, culture, and workforce, pending regulatory approval. The current majority shareholders of SKY, the Paulmann Mast family, would become minority shareholders of Abra.
