ExecuJet is partnering with Silk Way AFEZCO to develop a new fixed-base operation (FBO) at the upcoming Alat International Airport and manage the company's factory-new GVII-G500.
The FBO, modelled on ExecuJet's Dubai World Central facility, is set to begin construction at the end of 2025, with opening expected in 2027, coinciding with the airport's launch.
ExecuJet will also manage Silk Way AFEZCO's GVII-G500, Azerbaijan's first unit of the type, scheduled for delivery at the end of the second quarter of 2026. This agreement marks Luxaviation Group's entry into the Azerbaijani market.
The ExecuJet division that will manage the ultra-long-range Gulfstream Aerospace aircraft will be confirmed upon delivery, the company told ch-aviation. Currently, Luxaviation Group does not operate any GVII-G500s.
The collaboration also includes a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a joint venture at the Alat Free Economic Zone (AFEZ). Silk Way AFEZCO is the Silk Way Group entity tasked with overseeing the construction, development, and infrastructure planning within the AFEZ, located south of Baku.
