Alaska Airlines has announced new European destinations to be served from Seattle Tacoma International using the B787-9s of sister carrier Hawaiian Airlines as well as its in-house B737-8s: London Heathrow and Reykjavik Keflavik. Flights to both are scheduled to begin next spring, alongside Rome Fiumicino, the first destination (to start in May 2026) that was unveiled in early June. Alaska is looking to transform Seattle into the West Coast’s “premier global gateway” as part of a three-year strategic plan following Alaska Air Group’s acquisition of Hawaiian Holdings. The plan also includes flights to Tokyo Narita (launched on May 12) and Seoul Incheon (to start on September 12).
