Business Development Representative – International Markets (Westbound & Eastbound)

Zagreb, Croatia

At ch-aviation, our core mission is to provide accurate data and news on the aviation industry through online subscriptions and data feeds (DaaS).

We are a founder-owned and managed company with over 80 employees and offices in Switzerland, Croatia, Serbia, and Thailand.

Our founders and owners, who will work with you in the company every day strive for high consistency in company strategy and a long-term outlook on life.

All our profits are constantly re-invested into growing our products and offerings.

What it's like to work for ch-aviation:

  • We have an incredibly international work environment with customers on all continents where you can travel the world almost immediately
  • You will work for a steadily growing and innovating company (with an average annual growth rate of 25% over the last five years)
  • You will be given more responsibility and chances to grow very quickly if you are engaged and switched on.
  • A worldwide customer base to work with, as we are a well-established and liked brand in the Aviation intelligence market.
  • An opportunity to build a long-lasting career with ch-aviation, as we mostly promote from within.

If you join our team of Business Development Representatives, you’ll be reaching out to different companies worldwide and offering a subscription to our database. (for example, if an airline wants to see which aircraft are available for leasing, we can help them with that). The challenge in our sales process isn't about convincing customers, it's more about identifying the right ones who can benefit from the data we provide.

In this role, you will be contacting potential clients from different international markets, including westbound regions (like the Americas and the UK) and eastbound regions (such as MENA and APAC).

You will be based in our Zagreb office, with working hours tailored to the market you’re covering. For westbound clients, this means Monday to Thursday from 14:00 to 22:00, and Friday from 09:00 to 17:00. For eastbound markets, working hours are typically from 07:00 to 15:00.

In this role, you would have the opportunity to work for a company that operates globally but is not a corporation. We could be a great fit if you value proactivity, independence, and flexibility.

We are looking for someone to join our Sales department in an entry-level position. Since it is an entry-level position, there are plenty of opportunities to grow and advance. You can apply if you are a student or have already started your career, but keep in mind that it is an entry-level position with responsibilities suitable for a junior.

What you'll be doing:

  • Generating leads - Independently researching new sales leads and creating sales opportunities
  • Reaching out – Proactively contacting potential clients to spark interest and start conversations
  • Managing the pipeline - Guiding leads through the sales pipeline by setting activities, following up, and tracking progress
  • Qualifying prospects – Assessing leads and handing them over to Account Managers when ready
  • Using CRM tools – Effectively managing leads and sales activities through our customer relationship management system
  • Staying informed – Keeping up with market trends, competitors, and industry developments to stay ahead

You are the person we are looking for if:

  • Your English is excellent, and you communicate effectively in all settings (on a call, in person, or via email)
  • You enjoy working in an international environment
  • You are curious about B2B sales
  •  You are a naturally curious person who enjoys exploring different topics,  researching, gathering information and learning new things
  • You can think critically (assess a situation from different angles while having a bigger picture)
  • You're comfortable using Microsoft Office and already have experience with professional communication (through student jobs, internships, or volunteering)
  • You’re focused and capable of working independently
  • You understand the importance of teamwork
  • Most importantly, you're excited about the aviation industry - whether it’s already a passion or something you're motivated to dive into. (We’d love to hear more about this in your cover letter!)

And what’s in it for you?

  • A real opportunity to grow fast and kickstart your professional career
  • Opportunity to travel all around the world for client meetings and conferences
  • A thriving hands-on environment with a lot of freedom to pursue your ideas
  • Internal training and courses which start with your onboarding process
  • Contribution to the 3rd pillar after four years of working with us
  • Seniority perks the longer you stay with us. For example, after a while at ch-aviation, we send you on a fully paid one-week workcation. This year: Thailand 🏝️
  • We support your professional, family, and personal goals by having:
    • A flexible work-from-home policy
    • Vacation days that increase with your age and years of service
    • Option to work 4 days a week (36 hours for 90% of the pay)
  • MultiSport card

Application process:

  • If you think you might be a perfect match for our company and the advertised position, fill out your profile.
  • Make sure you:
    • Upload your CV in English
    • Submit your cover letter (motivational letter) in English. We really read cover letters, so make sure you take some time to explain your motivation to us.

Please note that only Applications in the English language will be evaluated, as an international team is running the recruitment process.
Only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
All applications will be considered under the terms and conditions of confidentiality in accordance with the regulations of personal data protection.
